About
Ale Avery Nunez, a 23 year old Canadian vocalist, songwriter and band-leader based in Toronto completing her fourth year at the Bachelor of Music Jazz program at Humber College. You can often see Ale perform in Toronto at the Rex, Jazz Bistro, Drom Taberna, The Emmet Ray and Manhattans in Guelph to name a few. She most recently completed a month long residency at The Rex in January 2024 and in December 2024 performed as part of Ontario Creates Women's in Music series curated by Sammy Jackson at Hugh's Room Live. Ale loves to share her passion for Jazz and all genres of music in every performance, drawing her audience in, having them hanging on to every note. Her voice is uniquely her own yet reminiscent of artists such as Carmen McRae, Nancy Wilson, Sarah Vaughan and Julie London. Ale was named one of three "Artists of the Year" by the TU Jazz Festival in 2023 and placed first in the Doc Awards” as part of the 2022 Etobicoke Jazz Festival. Ale is excited to be recording and releasing original music this year.
